One of the most frequently asked questions we get as on-camera coaches is – “What do I do with my hands?”
The first piece of advice — don’t overthink it. Instead, focus on your message. Your body will respond organically to the content if you allow yourself to relax and act naturally.
If you’re communicating through a webcam and you are framed tightly (where you are seen only from the chest level up), keep your gestures low or mostly out of the shot. They’ll be distracting for your viewer and take away from the impact of your message. Watch this video to see an example in action.
